Blue Koa Damascus Chef 247mm

Thin, sharp, and lightweight, this long, beautiful blade by bladesmith Marc Weinstock in house-made, low-layer damascus brings a 53mm tall heel and voluptuously curved edge to the cutting board. Marc finds a balance in bevel geometry meant to perform in any environment, with any cutting style; in spite of its overall slim, light, and fast feel, the blade maintains strength and stiffness everywhere needed to tackle demanding cuts, while also delivering a very thin edge and pointed tip for all variety of precision slices and detail work. The high contrast, low-layer damascus is forged from 15n20 and 1095. The handle, in dyed Hawaiian Koa, is sculpted beautifully and simply, rounded and smooth, with a stainless steel spacer.

Marc Weinstock, artist and bladesmith of Prick Blades, designs and forges exceptional quality custom chef knives at his shop in Chicago. Being an owner of his own design company in the past, his love for uniqueness of objects, architecture, colors, and shapes has boiled up and over the course of years he opened his own bladesmith shop, where he has been able to find what he was looking for in his creative pursuit.
