The newest addition to Blenheim Forge's Stainless-clad chef knife collection is this hand-forged, 165mm / 6.5" nakiri. A classic Japanese vegetable knife, and one of the most popular all-around knife styles in any kitchen, the nakiri features a relatively straight edge, tall profile, and flat front, designed for efficient vegetable chopping on the cutting board. The edge is thin, hard, and razor-sharp, formed from Aogami Blue Super carbon steel, and clad in jackets of stainless steel, un-reactive for easy case, with a beautiful forged finish. The handle is comfortable and elegant, the fumed oak tapering toward the solid brass ferrule in octagonal figure. An efficient and rewarding tool for home and working kitchens alike.
