From Luke Scheepers of ScheepersBuilt, a one-of-a-kind bunka chef's knife with all of the elements you can expect from the Scheepers' family Australian workshop: precision, CAD-driven machining, bold material and color combinations, and of course, function-first, hand-crafted geometry and balance for everyday meal preparation. A laser thin, hair-popping sharp edge of 52100 carbon steel at 61 HRC hardness extends 165mm / 6.5" from the 53mm tall heel to a needle-like tip where just a touch of lateral flexibility graces the lightweight, two-tone blade. Above the satin-finished edge is a black, ceramic-coated and 'scribble script'-textured section of the compound ('S-grind') blade bevels, the area where overall weight is reduced to just 5.1oz, and food-release enhanced. To wield the blade is an octagonal wa-style handle with G10 and aluminum spacers, completed with outstanding fit-and-finish and a lustrous polish.
