Osage Orange Petite Gyuto

The beautifully balanced 7" blade of AEB-L stainless steel in this Petite Gyuto from Ben Tendick is not too big, and not too small. With osage wood and copper and carbon fiber pins, we would say it's just right. The steel is cryogenically treated by Ben to a hardness of 62HRC for easy sharpening and excellent strength and edge retention. From the pins to the carved osage handle, each part of a BRT Bladeworks knife is handmade in Ben Tendick's one-man Eugene, Oregon shop. Outstanding fit, finish and comfort are hallmarks of this one-of-a-kind chef knife.

The Story

Ben Tendick of BRT Bladeworks designs and builds chef knives and a range of other edged tools at his shop in Oregon. A self-taught artist, Ben has been building chef knives full-time for several years and has developed a passionate following for his clean lines, functional design and excellent fit and finish. Ben is a one-man shop, performing each step of the process himself, including high-precision cryogenic treatment of his blades in-house. We're thrilled to represent Ben's work here on Eatingtools.
