Black & Red Clip-point Chef 202mm
The not-so-small smaller brother to Charlie Ellis' Black & Red Harpoon Chef 258mm is this gorgeous and versatile daily user in AEB-L high-performance stainless steel with needle-like tip and nicely balanced edge geometry. The tall, silky, convex blade bevels converge at a very thin edge for precision cuts and effortless slices while maintaining ample toughness above for rigidity and strength. A full-distal taper proceeds steadily along a blade spine that Charlie carefully facets on three edges instead of rounding, providing the same comfort with an elegant finish. To manipulate this one-of-a-kind tool crafted at Charlie's North Carolina studio is a sculpted, Western-style handle in black Richlite with asymmetrical 'racing-stripe' red liners and a series of bronze pins.

The Story
A long-time blacksmith and bladesmith, Charlie Ellis crafts one-of-a-kind chef knives at his North Carolina workshop. Drawn to making kitchen cutlery originally by the need in his own kitchen for reliable, high-quality blades, the knives Charlie produced quickly advanced beyond objects of his own use, and soon become objects of art and precision for others to enjoy. Function-first designs with integral bolsters, compound bevel geometry, sculpted handles, and unique materials and blade finishes, are noteworthy elements of many of the kitchen tools in our collection handmade by Charlie.
