Spear Butcher Block & Plate
Luke Martin's latest work of art combines black llimba, padauk, maple, and walnut wood into a stunning, one-of-a-kind end grain butcher block. Delivered with matching plate, designed to rest below a half-moon cutout on the underside of the board opposite the juice groove, ingredients can be easily moved from cutting surface to plate while working. As if spear heads from two opposing lines are standing guard against one another down the center of the board, Luke has created a play of dark browns, burnt tans, and deep reds that we cannot look away from. As featured in each of his boards, this block includes juice grooves on two sides, and premium rubber feet with stainless hardware.

The Story
Artisan Luke Martin of Owl Woodworks crafts luxurious, one-of-a-kind butcher block cutting boards at his workshop in Western Canada. The care and precision with which he works as a bomb disposal technician for the Canadian Military caries over, becoming the same care, patience, and thoughtfulness with which he designs and creates each board. Inspired by his earliest memories of time spent with his mother in the kitchen as a child and meals cooked for his own family today, Luke's desire is to provide an heirloom-quality object that will be used and loved every day.
