Damascus Bunka 150mm

From the 49mm tall S-grind blade to the gorgeous dyed maple burl, turquoise and nickel silver handle, Isaiah Schroeder has created a stunning, and equally as functional, daily use, one-of-a-kind bunka chef knife. Shaped from house-made 1095 & 15N20 damascus, the blade is light and thin, tapering to a fine point and providing just the right amount of flexibility. Balanced just behind the font of the handle, this knife is fast in the hand and excellent for precise and delicate cuts. Included is a handmade raw poplar wood saya.

The Story

A talented designer, craftsman and bladesmith, Isaiah Schroeder of Isaiah Schroeder Knifeworks created custom culinary tools at his shop in Madison, Wisconsin. Having entered the cutlery market several years ago making extraordinary custom wa-style handles and sayas for Japanese chef knives, Isaiah has grown his craft and followed his passion for kitchen wares by making his own damascus, his own sole-authorship chef knives and moribashi plating chopsticks. We're proud to represent Isaiah's work here on Eatingtools.
