From James Oatley comes a 225mm / 8.86" chef knife superbly forged and shaped to perfection with a simple, function-first convex grind, 52mm tall heel and needle-like tip with just a touch of flex. The stainless clad VToku 2 carbon steel blade has been given a high polish to produce a beautiful contrast between the stainless bevels and dark, etched edge with a band of nickel separating the two. James' selection of stunning lacewood for the handle and matching saya will turn heads on its own.

Based in St. Leonards, Australia, James Oatley uses a variety of techniques and materials to produce heirloom-quality kitchen cutlery one at a time at his one-man studio. James holds himself to the highest of standards, resulting in what many consider to be works of art, each knife built to last generations while standing up to the demands of any kitchen.
