Stellar, monumental work from Vancouver bladesmith Casey Vilensky of Lynn Valley Forge. This 355mm tuna sword features a single bevel edge of 1080 carbon steel at 61 HRC, surrounded by high-layer damascus cladding, finished with a silky, matte polish. The handle features striking, double-dyed maple burl, with a ferrule of copper and rings of brass and black G10. Cut from the same piece of wood as the handle's maple, the incredible saya fits the blade like a glove, with brass pins surrounding.

With two decades experience in the luxury automotive industry, bladesmith Casey Vilensky of Lynn Valley Forge now crafts one-of-a-kind custom chef knives at his one-man studio from homemade damascus patterns and in-house stabilized woods. Whether pushing the creative limits of mosaic damascus creation, sourcing unique and beautiful materials for his handles and sayas, or carefully hardness-testing the length of a blade's edge, Casey's precise yet artful approach to the craft results in kitchen cutlery that is built to use daily, and to turn heads doing it.
