Half Peck Oyster Knife
The process: hand forged in North Carolina. The purpose: effortlessly shuck oysters on one end, open bottle tops at the other. Shaped from 1/2" carbon steel square bar and measuring around 6.5" long with a 2" blade, the Half Peck Oyster Knife from Carolina Shuckers is a strong, sturdy tool with good looks to match. The grooved blade slides easily into place for quick shucking with the subtle thumb detent just behind it providing leverage and grip. Each shucker is uniquely shaped and twisted, so no two are alike. Forged by hand, these are truly outstanding tools for delectable oyster feasts.

The Story
Kirk Davis and Michael Waller are sculptors with impressive portfolios of work. Combining their passions for art, food, and the rich heritage of coastal North Carolina, they have created custom, hand-forged oyster knives. With each piece uniquely twisted, no two shuckers are alike. Kirk and Michael's love for the humble oyster is evident in every twist and turn of their one-of-a-kind tools. Care for the Ole Big Boy like you would your favorite cast iron: wash, dry, and oil after each use.
