Breastfeeder Spoon
A spoon like no other. Once again, Terry Widner of Spoontaneous surprises us in a new way. With a tendency of incorporating the human form, often female, into his functional art objects, this spoon offers a very unique representation of the female bosom, sculpted in a detailed, careful, and anatomically accurate way directly inside of the bowl of the spoon. What makes this piece even more unique is the inlay of agatized fossilized coral that Terry specially selected for this piece while in India. From holding, to using, to gazing at, this spoon will surely be associated with all that is the natural wonder which surrounds us daily.

The Story
Playful, inspiring, extraordinarily creative, always organic. These are the words that come to mind when considering Terry Widner's approach to wood carving. Creating spoons, scoops, vessels and decorative pieces at this studio in the US state of Florida, Terry allows the creative process to play out as it will, embracing the 'not-knowing' aspect of where exactly a given object's final form will land.
