"I feel lucky to have made metalsmithing my career for the past 34 years. I do what I love every day. There’s a kind of vibration deep within that you can feel when you have found the right medium. My advice is when you feel it, go with it. "

Meet The Makers

Jill Rikkers - Colorado

With a degree in metalsmithing from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin where she studied in the late 1980's, Jill Rikkers moved to Colorado after graduation and still operates the studios on her property that had their beginnings in those early days of her metalsmithing career. Designing and crafting handmade kitchen utensils, serveware, barware and tableware since 1995, Jill continually innovates, developing new pieces and collections in steel, brass, copper, and bronze. From 3-prong forks for the bar to 6-piece flatware sets for the dining table, with spatulas and serving spoons to match, Jill is a darling of home decor.
